Well now, this is a pleasure!

Our Makers
“A shop is only as fine as the hands that fill it.” — Percival Beauregard, Esq.
MJ — Maker of all things Pelican
Percy loves a good hat — top hat for occasions, fedora for everyday. I have three of my own to choose from: curator, shopkeeper, and maker. I'd be hard pressed to tell you which one I love best. My laser work is mostly personalised and bespoke pieces: names, dates, the small details that turn a nice object into someone's nice object. I've always been drawn to the history behind things, the stories tucked into a piece of wood or stitched into a gift. A good story makes an object matter more, and that belief is what this little shop is built on.
From everyday laser-engraved pieces to bespoke commissions and a signature line for special orders, every piece is made with the keeper in mind. And if you find me wandering the shop with a cup of tea in hand — well, that's just one more reason fine things and quiet moments belong together.

Angie Reynolds Photographs, Prints & Wee Treasures
Based in Wishaw, Angie Reynolds is a nature and wildlife photographer inspired by Scotland's landscapes and wildlife. Her work focuses on authentic storytelling through photography, film and digital artwork, often transforming locally captured images into creative designs and giftware. Angie's passion lies in spending quiet hours immersed in nature, capturing fleeting wildlife moments and sharing the beauty of the natural world through her creative work.
Angie's shelves change with the seasons — small originals, cards that catch the eye of every passerby, and giftware shaped from her own photographs. She's always creating something new and keeping us all on our toes.

Gary Ferguson — Flies, Frames & Fishing Heritage
Based in Lanarkshire, Gary is an angler with an appreciation for the quiet tradition and craft of fly fishing. Inspired by watching his papa tie flies before their days on the water together, Gary later found his own way at the tying bench through patience, curiosity, and years spent fishing the riverbanks himself. His collections and individual pieces are inspired by his love of angling culture, heritage, and the pursuit of the catch.
Whether tying Clyde flees for the river, creating occasion brooches for weddings, or putting together small handcrafted displays, Gary’s work is rooted in the belief that the best traditions are the ones still being used.

And then there's Kate
Well now, two days a week, Kate looks after The Posh Wee Pelican — and I do declare, we would be quite lost without her. She has the warmest way with customers, the kind of can-do spirit that solves a problem before MJ has even spotted it, and a knack for making everyone who walks through the door feel they've come to the right place. If MJ isn't behind the counter, chances are Kate is — and you are in very fine hands indeed.
We are very much obliged to the fair Kate for all she does to support the makers, our shop, and the resident pelican.
Most sincerely, Percy — AKA 'The resident pelican"
